Facility Partnerships:
ROI, Billing & Contracting
Swallowing Recovery Solutions provides flat-rate, bedside dysphagia imaging (Mobile FEES) for Skilled Nursing Facilities and other medical facilities in NW Ohio and SE Michigan.
You can't fix what you can't see.
Guessing at the bedside with blind clinical swallow evaluations leads to unnecessary puree diets, increased risk of aspiration pneumonia (F-Tags), and delayed recoveries. By bringing gold-standard endoscopic imaging directly to your patient's bedside, we completely eliminate the exorbitant costs of specialized medical transport, prevent missed therapy minutes, and ensure your facility captures accurate PDPM reimbursement.
Billing & ROI
Predictable Flat-Rates. Zero Transport Fees.
We operate on a highly predictable, flat-rate vendor model. There are no hidden mileage logs, travel expenses, or fuel surcharges.
Because FEES (CPT 92612) is a therapy code subject to Medicare Consolidated Billing, outside contractors cannot bill Medicare directly. Instead, we invoice your facility our flat vendor rate. Your billing department then submits the claim directly to Medicare, keeping your therapy revenue in-house. Furthermore, accurate and objective dysphagia diagnostics justify your internal SLP's treatment plan, actively supporting your facility's PDPM speech/swallowing case-mix reimbursement.
Clinical Workflow & Infection Control
Rapid Scheduling & Uncompromising Safety
We provide flexible, reliable scheduling to eliminate the massive wait times of hospital outpatient imaging, with STAT orders fulfilled within 48 hours.
Immediate Results: You do not have to wait days to change a diet order. Your Charge Nurse and internal evaluating SLP receive an immediate clinical brief and dietary recommendations before our endoscopist even leaves the building.
Infection Control: We adhere to the strictest point-of-use pre-cleaning and High-Level Disinfection (HLD) protocols, fully compliant with state health departments and the Spaulding Classification system for semi-critical devices, ensuring your vulnerable patients stay safe.

Frequently Asked Questions About Working
with Swallow Recovery Solutions
Do you bill Medicare Part A or Part B directly?
No.
Because FEES (CPT 92612) is a therapy code, it is subject to Medicare Consolidated Billing rules. We simply invoice your facility a predictable, flat vendor rate for our service. Your billing department then submits the claim directly to Medicare, allowing you to capture the reimbursement and keep your therapy dollars in-house.
What is your standard turnaround time for a study?
We eliminate the weeks-long wait associated with hospital outpatient scheduling.
We guarantee that STAT orders are fulfilled within 48 hours.
Furthermore, your clinical team receives an immediate verbal and brief written report of critical findings before we even leave the building, ensuring therapy continues same-day.
We already have a state-wide FEES provider. Can we still work with you?
Absolutely!
Many facilities keep Swallowing Recovery Solutions on file as a zero-cost "Secondary or Backup Vendor." If your primary provider is delayed, out of town, or unavailable for a STAT order, you can call us to ensure your patient is seen immediately. You only pay for the studies we perform.
How do you handle infection control for your equipment?
We strictly adhere to the Spaulding Classification system for semi-critical devices. We perform immediate point-of-use pre-cleaning on-site, followed by strict High-Level Disinfection (HLD) processing and documentation that meets or exceeds all state health department and facility infection control standards.
Do we need to provide a dedicated clinical room or special equipment for the procedure?
No.
One of the greatest benefits of Mobile FEES is that it is performed directly at the patient’s bedside. We bring our fully self-contained, state-of-the-art mobile endoscopy cart directly to the unit. The patient remains in their habitual feeding position (bed or wheelchair), which prevents transport-related fatigue and provides a highly accurate, real-world assessment of their swallowing function.
How does your service integrate with our in-house Speech-Language Pathologists?
We act as a specialized diagnostic partner to your therapy team, not a replacement.
Our imaging provides your evaluating SLP with the objective clinical data they need to justify and execute a highly targeted treatment plan. We strongly encourage your facility SLP to be present during the study. In many cases, your internal SLP can even bill for Dysphagia Therapy (CPT 92526) for their time providing compensatory strategies during the feeding trials of the exam.
Can you perform FEES on high-acuity, bariatric, or ventilator-dependent patients?
Yes.
Unlike a traditional Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS), which has strict weight limits, requires the patient to sit perfectly upright in a radiology suite, and exposes them to radiation, FEES is the gold standard for complex medical cases. We routinely and safely perform studies on patients with tracheostomies, ventilator dependency, bariatric needs, and isolation precautions.
How do your orders and reporting work with our facility's EMR?
Our workflow is designed to reduce the administrative burden on your nursing staff. Your facility physician simply writes a standard order for "FEES 92612" and your team sends it to our secure, HIPAA-compliant intake email/fax. Following the procedure, we provide a comprehensive digital report that can be easily uploaded directly into PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or your specific EMR platform.
What documents do you provide for our legal and compliance teams?
We make vendor onboarding completely frictionless. Upon agreement, we will provide your administration with our W-9, comprehensive Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI), state licenses, and a standard, easy-to-read vendor contract.
